Are you looking for someone to do some cybersecurity copywriting? Contact me to find out more!

Cybersecurity copywriting takes skill. You need to be informative and accurate, while making sure you’re still engaging – and not scaremongering!

As with social care writing, there might be a lot riding on this for your audience. Maybe they’re looking dispassionately as an IT professional – or maybe they’re searching for “signs my phone has been hacked” at 2am in a panic. Either way, it’s important that you give them the right information, and quickly.

You need to keep accessibility in mind at all times. You mustn’t turn your audience off by using too much jargon – or talking about outdated software. And, of course, they need to be able to read (or hear!) and understand everything you’re trying to tell them – whether that’s by adding alt tags, image descriptions or just ensuring that you’re not using too much jargon.

You’ve come to the right place. As you can see, I’m always thinking about these things.

Making information accessible and engaging is hugely important to me.

Why choose me for cybersecurity copywriting?

I’m a cybersecurity expert, with an interest that goes back more than two decades.

I grew up in a time when we didn’t share our full names and addresses online. I spend a lot of time thinking about my own online security these days, and I want to share that information with others. Far too many people reuse passwords, don’t install antivirus software, and aren’t aware of the risks of sharing information online.

I’ve written extensively about antivirus software, data breaches, online stalking, spyware, and other malware. I’m comfortable using and writing about Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.

My background is in writing, and while I’ve worked with software developers and IT professionals for many years, I’m not one myself. This means I can make my cybersecurity copywriting easy-to-understand for even your least tech-savvy clients. But I’m also comfortable writing b2b content – after all my years working with tech professionals, I understand what they want to know.
